Talk title: Multifunctional Nanocomposites for Clean Energy Generation through Fuel Cells
Biography
Associate Professor Daniel Chua received his BSc (Honours) from the National University of Singapore in 1998. After graduation, he worked for a few years as a failure analysis and materials engineer in semiconductor and harddisk media sector and after, did his graduate studies. He received his Ph.D in Engineering from University of Cambridge in 2004 and was a postdoctoral research associate. He joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the National University of Singapore in 2005 and was awarded the NUS Young Investigator Award in 2008. Over the years, he held various administrative posts including Vice Dean, Assistant Dean and Director position in the College of Design and Engineering. His current area of interest focusses on application of designing and developing nanostructured materials with applications in clean energy and environmental work. He has published more than 200 internationally refereed articles and has given over 50 invited/keynote talks internationally.
