Biography
Dr Kamal Elouarzaki is Programme Manager at the Centre for Advanced Catalysis Science and Technology, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. An electrochemist and energy-technology specialist, he works at the interface of catalytic science, electrochemical engineering, and technology translation to accelerate the development of low-carbon and climate-neutral solutions.
His research focuses on advanced electrochemical conversion platforms for clean fuels, sustainable chemical manufacturing, and decarbonised energy systems. His work combines catalyst and interface design with device engineering, scale-up strategy, and techno-economic evaluation, with a strong emphasis on translating scientific advances into efficient, competitive, and deployable technologies. Dr Elouarzaki has contributed to major multidisciplinary research programmes and international collaborations involving NTU, the University of Cambridge, A*STAR, and industry partners. He is actively engaged in shaping pathways from laboratory innovation to commercial and societal impact, advancing electrochemical technologies that support industrial decarbonisation, energy security, and the transition to a climate-neutral economy.
