Talk title: AI-Guided Discovery of Metal Hydrides for Hydrogen Storage, Compression and Purification
Biography
Dr. Vitalie Stavila is Research Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA, USA, where he is involved in several projects focused on hydrogen generation, storage and utilization. Dr. Stavila uses various X-ray scattering and diffraction techniques to solve fundamental and applied materials science problems related to bulk and nanostructured materials. A primary focus of Dr. Stavila’s research is the AI-driven design of new materials through alterations in chemical composition, the arrangement of atoms or molecules in crystalline or amorphous structures, and the elucidation of nanoconfinement effects. Dr. Stavila has edited three books, co-authored 17 patents, and published over 240 papers.
