Talk title: Develpment of Pt-based anode catalysts highly efficient for HOR and tolerant to the presence of impurities (CO, CO2, O2)
Biography
Christophe Coutanceau obtained his PhD degree in Physical Chemistry in 1994 under the supervision of Prof. Claude Lamy at the Laboratory of Catalysis in Organic Chemistry (LACCO), University of Poitiers, France. After a post-doctoral position at the “Insituto National Superior” of Lisbon (1995–1997, Portugal), he was hired as Assistant Professor at the University of Poitiers (LACCO) in 1998 before being promoted in 2005 as full professor.
At present, he is Professor at the Institute of Chemistry of Poitiers/University of Poitiers. His current research interests include development of synthesis methods for nanostructured supported metallic materials using green processes and solvents and their application as electrocatalysts in fuel cells, electrolysis cells and electrosynthesis reactors for the electro-conversion of bioresources into valuable compounds. He is in charge of the international relationships for the French research network on hydrogen of CNRS (FRH2), co-leader of the France – Canada international research network on clean hydrogen production (FC Clean H2 from CNRS), scientific delegate at the “Energy taskforce” of the CNRS, member of the French agency for decarbonated energy (APED) and member of the Annex 31 (Low temperature fuel cells) of the IAE. He coauthored more than 160 papers in international journals and more than 60 invited conferences. His h-index is 72 (Google scholar), with more than 17,500 citations.
