Biography

Dr. Alok Sharma, a Chemical Engineering post graduate from IIT-Delhi, brings decades of continuous experience in the downstream energy sector and New Energy Areas.  As Director (R&D) and Board Member at Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Dr. Sharma  spearheaded initiatives in refining, catalyst development, and research and development across cutting-edge domains such as hydrogen, gasification, solar, biofuels, CO2 capture, and energy storage. His innovative contributions are highlighted by more than 60 granted patents spanning India and international territories. Dr. Sharma is also a renowned expert and active participant in multiple national and international committees.

An Expert in the area of Hydrogen with over 25 years of experience and credit of setting first hydrogen station of India in 2005. He currently holds position of Sr Vice President, Hydrogen Association of India. He is also the  President, National Lubricating Grease Inc.- India. He was also the Chairman of Technical committee for the prestigious India Energy Week 2025 and 2026
