Talk title: Ion-conductive Biopolymers for Tuning the Local Environment for Selective Electrochemical CO2 Conversion

Biography

Andrew B. Wong is a Presidential Young Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the National University of Singapore. He is originally from Buffalo, New York. Before his independent career, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University, where he was co-advised by Prof. Thomas Jaramillo and Prof. James Harris. He received his PhD from UC Berkeley in Chemistry in 2016 under Prof. Peidong Yang and received a joint BS-MS degree in Chemistry at the University of Chicago in 2011. His research focuses on understanding and developing control of the local microenvironment for electrochemical CO₂ conversion and exploring emerging strategies to valorize CO₂.
