Talk title: An Overview of the Hydrogen Storage Research Group (HSRG) at Curtin University

Biography

Craig Buckley is a John Curtin Distinguished Professor in Physics and leads the Hydrogen Storage Research Group at Curtin University, Australia. Since being awarded his Ph.D. in 1994 he has held various research positions in the UK, USA and Australia. Since 2004 he has been an Australian expert on the International Energy Agency (IEA) Hydrogen Technology Collaboration Program (TCP) Tasks 17, 22, 32, 40 and 51 on Hydrogen Storage. From 2014 – 2024 Craig was the Australian executive committee member for the IEA Hydrogen TCP, and he currently leads Program 2, Hydrogen Exports and Value Chains in the Future Energy Exports Co-operative Research Centre (CRC) in Australia. His research is focussed on hydrogen storage materials and the investigation of the structural properties of a wide range of materials. Craig has been a lead/co-investigator on over $150 M of research funding and has published over 250 peer reviewed scientific papers.
