Talk title: Photoelectrochemical Organic Upgrading with Hydrogen Production
Biography
Jong Hyeok Park is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Yonsei University, Republic of Korea. His research interests include solar-to-hydrogen conversion systems, lithium- and sodium-ion batteries, and perovskite solar cells.
He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), Republic of Korea, in August 2004. Following his doctoral studies, he joined the University of Texas at Austin, USA, as a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Allen J. Bard.
Prof. Park has authored and co-authored more than 400 peer-reviewed publications and holds over 100 patents. His research has received more than 27,000 citations, and he has an h-index of 90 according to Google Scholar.
He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the PBFC Award from The Korean Electrochemical Society (2012), the SKKU Young Fellowship from Sungkyunkwan University (2012), the Horace G. Underwood Fellowship from Yonsei University (2018), the Award of Excellence from the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (2017), and the S-Oil Next Generation Researcher Award (2021).
