Biography

Zhigang Hu is an Associate Professor at the Center of Hydrogen Science of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He mainly works on the synthesis of porous materials and metal nanocatalysts for solid-state hydrogen storage and purification, carbon dioxide capture and conversion, hydrogen to ammonia energy conversion. He has been listed as the Shanghai Leading Talent (Overseas), Shanghai Pujiang Talent, and “World’s Top 2% Scientists List (2021-2025)”. He has supervised students to win the Gold Medal of 2024 China International College Students’ Innovation Competition and Second Prize of 2023 National “Yuanchuang Cup” Competition. He has published 90 papers in Adv Energy Mater, Chem Soc Rev, Energy Environ Sci, etc. He has coauthored 3 books of 《Hydrogen Storage and Transportation》, 《Hydrogen Energy Storage and Transportation Technologies and Applications》, and 《Advanced Mg-based energy storage materials and systems》. He also serves as the Associate Editor of Adsorption and Editorial Board Member of Materials Today Sustainability.
