Talk title: H2 Light: Elevating Weight-Sensitive Applications with Air-Cooled PEM Fuel Cells
Biography
Dr. ZHOU Weijiang is a senior researcher with over 25 years of experience in fuel cells and hydrogen energy, having begun his research career at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics in 1999. His expertise spans electrochemical mechanisms, noble-metal nanocatalysts, MEA fabrication, and PEM fuel cell systems, including leading the development of a 5 kW PEM fuel cell system prototype.
He has led and contributed to more than 20 applied R&D projects across academia and industry, and previously managed engineering teams of around 30 members in a publicly listed company in China. His work focuses on bridging fundamental research with industrial application, particularly in fuel cell materials, catalyst technologies, and system integration.
Dr. Zhou holds 58 patents, including 30 granted patents, and has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers with more than 9,500 citations and an H-index of 40. Several of his technologies have been successfully licensed and commercialized, including platinum-based electrocatalysts that have achieved kilogram-scale production.
